Summaries of selected precedents in English

The Supreme Court publishes unofficial summaries of some of its precedents in English on these pages. The selected precedents usually contain either issues from the standpoint of the law of the European union or of human rights or other international interests.

The publication of these summaries has started 2017. Until year 2015 precedents containing EU- or human rights related issues were translated into Swedish. This was due to cooperation between Nordic supreme courts. These precedents in Swedish can be found on the page Avgöranden med anknytning till EU-rätten och mänskliga rättigheter .
